I wanted to post what I saw on the KSL boards with regard to discussion on the Tax increase for public transit Bus/Trax. This user put it better than I could have put it! I agree with this user 110%! This is good for all of us Utahans/Americans to think about when it comes to Taxes! Please pass this on, everyone needs to hear it!

"The interesting thing about Utahans is that there is no tax they don’t like. Where America was once peopled by patriots who fought excessive taxation now we are sheep willing to give the government more than 50% of our income to taxes.
Sure it doesn’t come in the form of direct income taxes but by the time you calculate the VAT (Value Add Tax) levied at every level of production of goods and services, combined with income, property and other taxes you are literally paying more than half or your income in taxes.
What a load of suckers Americans have become. Like the Europeans who can’t care for themselves but rely on the government to take care of them. We have literally rejected our heritage of independence and personal responsibility that was at the core of the American colonial population.
What was the last tax increase Utah rejected? Anyone? You suckers vote for EVERY tax increase proposed."
