Illegals crossing our southern border do tremendous environmental damage but don't expect to read about it. There are numerous sensitive areas as well as a National Park and Monument which have tons of garbage dumped there as well as numerous trails and other damage. One important spring which wildlife depend is used routinely for camping, etc which prevent animals from being able to drink from it. Proponents of Illegal Immigration warn of the potential damage of a fence to wildlife but somehow ignore the damage already occurring.

Here is an article about illegals starting forest fires to chase off border agents.

Until our Media once again gains some independence from group think and liberal thinking the American people will always be miss informed.

as well as a National Park and Monument

Every illegal immigrant who passes through Big Bend is stiffing the government $10 (or $75 if traveling in a van).  Similarly, people who cross at Organ Pipe Cactus N.M. owe us an extra $8.

On a serious note, Organ Pipe Cactus N.M. has a fence along the border (to stop vehicle crossings) and all back country is closed until further notice.  Big Bend's site offers some advice about being near the border.

The border also abuts the Barry Goldwater Air Force Base, Tohono O'odham Indian Reservation, Buenos Aires National Wildlife Refuge, Coronado National Forest, Pajarito Wilderness, Miller Wilderness, Black Gap Wildlife Management Area and Amistad National Recreation Area.  (There may be more, but this is all I could pick out by scanning the border with some map software).
