A CALL TO ACTION!

Herald Journal II

Today’s Herald (4/26/06) was truly a work of art, the art of propaganda that is. Can any of really doubt that AP reporters have an agenda? Let’s look at their coverage of the nuclear crisis in Iran. This article is typical of the coverage one gets regarding Iran’s nuclear program. They always manage to say that Iran’s program is for generating electricity, without ever mentioning the West argument that they are building nuclear weapons. Notice how they quote far more of the Iranians viewpoint rather than the West’s. They also fail to mention that Iran has been hiding its program from the beginning and lying through their teeth. I believe by uncritically quoting Iran’s threats regarding sharing the technology and “hiding their program” are a way of demoralizing the American people from supporting the Military option. In fact I will predict no amount of negotiations or boycotts will do anything but give Iran more time to develop their weapons. As far as their threat to share their technology with other countries why not point out that they are very likely to do this regardless of what the West does. They might also mention that Hezbollah is an Iranian creation. There is no mention of the deception or lies that Iran has given to the UN. Nor is there any mention of how the Russians are supporting the development of their program or how they are blocking any meaningful pressure against Iran.

Does anyone doubt that the Cold War is back on, if it ever wasn’t. Russia views its interest as opposite that of the West, just like France. What I find truly amazing is that Europe whose cities are well within current missile range, seem so clueless to the threat. Do you know that in a recent poll the German people named the United States as the country which poses the greatest threat?  Europe's media are incredible hostile to the United States. Anti Americanism is at an all time high throughout the world. Why is this? Of course some would say that it is because of the Iraqi war. My answer is that they hated us well before the war. A friend of mine (whom is incredibly loving) was telling me that his brother has great anger towards him even though he has only helped him, time after time. I pointed out that for some people who have a self imagine problem, the help was viewed by them, as further proof of their inferiorities and that is what generates his hostility. I submit that Europe is subconsciously very jealous and feels inferior. I believe this drives them nuts because they believe themselves to be much more sophisticated and cultured over their American cousins (rubes). As long as we continue to do the moral thing, that is stand up to the bullies of the world, we will be equally hated.

Next we have Thad Box waxing elegantly for more socialism and open borders. What he doesn’t address is why so many Mexicans are determined to enter the United States. No mention as to why Mexico which is rich in natural resources and has had equal opportunity to gain economic success has failed so miserably. The Mexican government has been structured to keep the ruling class in power and thus to prevent its people from any economic gain. Until this issue is resolved, Mexicans will continue to infiltrate the US, unless we build a workable border defense. Oh and by the way, the term livable wage is another term for socialism. Why are Americans so ignorant of simple economic principles?

Peace
