Revelations

            One of the most interesting things to occur of late has been the release and translation of some of the millions of boxes of material seized during Operation Iraqi Freedom. The CIA has collected, scanned and in some cases translated some of these documents and posted them on the web. The database is referred to as Harmony and can be found here: http://www.ctc.usma.edu/harmony_docs.asp and here: http://70.168.46.200/  both government sites. There are at least three civilian sites that have done a lot of work to reveal this material and translate documents which the government hasn't gotten around to, these are: http://www.captainsquartersblog.com/mt/ , http://www.freerepublic.com. http://iraqdocs.blogspot.com/ another funny site which shows how absurd many leading democrats have been since they have lost the presidency can be found at http://www.husseinandterror.com/ . This is a developing story but some of the translations I have seen totally poke holes in all of the absurd arguments that we have been subjected to even before the invasion, such as Saddam’s regime was secular and he would never work with groups like Al Qaeda, the mobile trailers found were used for meteorological research and not biological weapons production and the famous aluminum tubes were for rocket motors. For those of you willing to do the research there is a lot of evidence which poke holes in all of these contentions. Now most of these arguments were made by CIA and other intelligence analysts as well as journalists, which gives you some idea of the quality of people we they been using. It also goes along way to explain why the CIA has failed miserably predicting every major event which has happened the last twenty plus years.  

            A lot of people think that the CIA is full of conservatives which just isn’t true. Like most government bureaucracies uber: liberals tend to thrive there (because they are not judged by their competency or quality of work) as well as the state department. These are the people who have been leaking classified material like a sieve and have done serious harm to our national security. Of course, since they have their head so far up their (you know what) they cannot even see this. In their delusional state it is Bush and company who are doing the damage. Personally, I think this country would be better off closing down both the CIA and the State Dept. and starting over.

            If I have to hear one more talking head wonk say that this administration has destroyed all of the good will we had right after 9/11 I will probably throw up. What bothers me the most is that idiots make huge salaries while producing this pabulum.
