New policy for posting within the forums section, 8/24/08
A user has pointed out their opinion regarding copyright infringement concerns due to other users copying whole articles form other websites. It is the opinion of the website administrators team that while posting whole articles has most likely been for the convenience of the reader and for reference purposes, we request that it be done different from this date on.
In order to ensure that there is consistency on the forums please refrain from the following…
1. Do not post a whole article from HTML taken from another website.
2. Do not post pictures or media taken from articles that have known copyrights.
The following steps can be taken in order to quote or reference another article.
1. Post an external hyperlink to the article you are referring to within the text or body of your personal commentary.
2. You may quote in text form only (not HTML) with “ ” surrounding the text quoted or referenced. Only post the portion of text that is relevant to your post. Please also state and give credit to the author.
As always, you may post videos, pictures and text that is public domain and within keeping with forum rules of decency. Quoting anyone on this website or other Northern Utah Media Group owned websites is always allowed as we hold the copyright of any material produced on our websites not originally copyrighted elsewhere. If we desire specific material to not be reproduced on any of our websites, there will be a notice next to the material.
Any posts from this point on found to be posting 3rd party content outside of the rules set forth above will have that particular post removed. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation in this matter.
