A CALL TO ACTION!

Potpourri

I peruse a number of web sites, which often contain some really good information and viewpoints. I would like to share some of today’s articles with you. Larry Elder has a really good column about the reasons for the Iraq war and why would should not abandon our efforts there. His column can be found here:

During the rise of power by the Nazis certain tactics were used. They would use violence to silence any of their critics. While not as severe yet as then, this trend if allowed to continue has that potential. Great pressure should be brought to bear against college administrators who seem unwilling to protect free speech on their campuses. This kind of intimidation is much more widespread than most people are aware, because the Major Media almost never raises the issue. In places like Columbia, Wisconsin, Washington, California etc thugs routinely prevent students from hearing what the speaker has to say. A good article about this issue can be found here:

A funny cartoon by Mallard Fillmore regarding this issue can be found here:

A really interesting article (but much too long) deals with the issue of poverty and illegal immigration. That article can be found here:

If you would like to learn of some good news about Iraq (which you will never read about in the Major Media) an article by San Francisco columnist Debra J Saunders can be found here:

I believe besides the courts and the Major Media one of the single biggest factors hurting our foreign policy comes from the State Dept. Most Americans are not aware of this very leftist organization which has been a problem preceding WW II.  My analysis of this problem goes back to the thirties where idealists began to Romanize communism and cover up all of the atrocities which Stalin perpetrated. Stalin had penetrated this organization thoroughly with elements of the KGB up to and even after the war. Ann Coulter in her book Treason goes into great detail how FDR’s administration was thoroughly penetrated. We have been told repeatedly by Leftist Journalists that Joe McCarthy was totally wrong about this issue, but a then classified project called Venona cracked the Soviet code and was used to identify more that 100 Soviet agents within FDR’s admin.  A very thoughtful analysis about our current State Dept. and its bungling of Iraq can be found here:

One thing about liberals is that they never give up on their pet causes. They have suffered defeat after defeat in national and some regional elections, yet they are always looking to find another avenue of attack. I thought their use of the courts had been taken care of by passage of the Protection of Lawful Commerce of Arms act, but you know leftists judges. They truly believe that they are above the law. An article about this issue can be found here:

A related article about 100 city mayors who have always used the issue of Gun Control as cover for their failures to control crime in their cities. Since gun control does not work (just asks any citizen of Great Britain, Canada or Australia) they are always pushing for tougher and tougher laws.

http://www.cnsnews.com/ViewCulture.asp?Page=/Culture/archive/200610/CUL20061026a.html

And finally an article about global warming (or is it cooling) can be found here:

http://www.cnsnews.com/ViewNation.asp?Page=/Nation/archive/200610/NAT20061026a.html

If you are still with me, I would like to ask you to tell me about issues which you would like to see covered or written about more. I get such little feedback from you all, I am not even sure if what I do is of any value. Please write and let me know what you think.

Peace
